Few months back UNILU was looking for an interviewee regarding the duty of a buddy. Leandra Ferrario, a dear member of ESN Luzern and at this time buddy coordinator for PHLU and UNILU, volunteered. Now the article is finally released. In the published work interviewer Simona Gebistorf asked Leandra various questions about the duty of a buddy and how she experienced it. Leandra Ferrario, wie lange bist du schon ein Buddy für das Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Luzern?
Leandra Ferrario: Ich habe letztes Semester als Buddy begonnen und seit diesem bin ich zudem als Koordinatorin tätig.
Weshalb hast du dich entschieden, als Buddy für ESN tätig zu sein?
Eigentlich hatte ich einfach ziemlich Lust, bei einer solchen Organisation mitzumachen. In meinem eigenen Austauschsemester hatte ich stets das Gefühl, dass Austauschstudierende viel offener und lockerer sind: Als Austauschstudi macht man einfach, worauf man Lust hat und lernt dauernd neue Menschen kennen. Dieses Gefühl wollte ich hier ein wenig weiterleben und sah im Buddy-Programm eine Chance dazu.
